Scourge of the skies - Daily mail 3rd March 1901

Once the figures of romance and history, pirates again plague the trade routes of the world. Unlike their forbearers, these rascals attack unarmed shipping and airfreight with little or no risk to their dishonest persons. Our government, along with those of other nations, seems incapable of dealing with these miscreants operating out of uncharted new islands in the Atlantic.
Only last week an airship was taken just one hundred miles west of Cornwall,  luckily for the crew and passengers HMAS Eos was nearby to rescue the unfortunate victims.

On the subject of airship, Kaiser Wilhelm launched the new Zepplin battle ship Bismarck yesterday, capable of out gunning anything currently aloft.
Chancellor Bernhard von Bulow stated "Germany leads with a technological leap, once again a Bismarck will take us forward into a new age"

Confederate history for ages 9 to 11

The Unionist victory was however short lived. The greed driven ambition of the northern industrial barons was their undoing. The 1871 Paris incident crippled the Britsh Empire, unable to support its overseas dominions, the United States capitalized on the confusion and attempted to seize the remaining Canadian provinces. The 1871 elections voiced the dissatisfaction of the confederacy, Unionist attempts to suppress the will of the people resulted in confrontation.
Unable to conduct a war on two fronts, the United States crumbled before the righteous fury of the confederacy, ultimately pissed to the peace table to negotiate a truce.
Canada, while technically under the dominion of the United States,  is far from a subjugated nation

The Illustrated Police News - 23rd February 1895- Tyrium

Tyrium, an inert lifting gas named after the Nordic God Try, was first discovered under the old bed of the North Sea. Deposites have reportedly been found in the Baltic, Waccasassa Bay, and the region of Biscay. The impact of this new discovery has resulted in an unseemly arms race amongst the greater powers, with the United States desperately trying to find reserves of its own.

Launch of HMAS Dash at the Dover Airworks Yard

HMAS Dash, the first in a new generation of airships, was officially launch today by his royal highness Prince Edward, uncle of our own Kaiser.

The new Tyrium lift vessel looks diminutive alongside HMAS Hector, a mere two year old vacuum hybrid lift ship.
HMAS Dash, while half the size, can carry twice as many guns and men as her recent predecessor, with the lift great enough to allow some armour plating. This new design has caused ripples in diplomatic circles, the United States in particular seems concerned, the Canada issue still unresolved.

Letter to Mr Archibald Saint 12th July 1891

Dear Mr Saint
I hope to find you and your family in as good a health as the last time we corasponded. Bettina and the grandchildren are all doing well  and hope to visit Bristol in the summer.
Today though I do not write as your friend but as mayor of Cherbourg, to you as under secretary to the minister. What there is left of my beautiful nation is under siege, fay creatures have pushed us back on to the cotein heights and deny us our homeland. I  fear that soon even this remnant of France must dissappear and we will be remembered only in history.
I  ask, as neighbour, friend and fellow human, for you to speak to your lord Salisbury.
Any aid given would be welcome, I know our nations have not always been friends but together you and I, we stood shoulder to shoulder at Balaclava, and our two nations have always been the pillars of civilisation.
Yours in hope
Monsieur Thomasin

Theatre poster March 1901

A new study has been proposed by the Boston University to investigate whether the Paris Incident caused The Event or if The Event caused the Paris Incident?
 Is Henri Penn actually innocent?
Many scholars now believe that a multiple dimensional collision of some sort took place that night, how else do you explain fully grown forests appearing in the middle of the North Sea,?
Another school of thought is the Returners theory, that we have actually returned to the natural state of the world, arguing that all the changes correlate to fairy tales and mythology indicating a racial or cultural memory of these things from and earlier age.
Prof George Danbury will be giving a talk this Tuesday in London at the  Prince of Wales Theatre in Coventry street at 3.00pm tickets will be 1/6 or 3 bronze standards.
Free booklet will be available for a small donation
Bicycles will be stored free of charge.
